Milano-Meda highway blocked for rap music video filming
On September 18, a group of individuals, including rappers Omar Ramo, 351 Bratan, and Darié Baby, caused significant traffic disruptions on the SS35 Milano-Meda highway near Affori, Milan. The group occupied the roadway to film a music video, involving motorcycles and a drone, which resulted in long queues of stalled vehicles.
The incident has sparked political and social controversy. Alessandro Corbetta, a regional councilor for the Lega party, announced that a formal complaint would be filed with the Milan Police to identify those responsible for the unauthorized road seizure.
While critics on social media condemned the disruption to public safety and order, supporters of the artists accused the Lega party of using the incident to incite racial tension. They noted that while Omar Ramo has North African origins, the other performers are of Russian and Italian descent, arguing the political framing was misleading.
