Milano Wine Week Awards recognize excellence in Italian wine service

The Milano Wine Week Awards 2026 were held at the Milan Marriott Hotel during the ninth Milano Wine Week. The ceremony, promoted by the MWW Group, honored Italian restaurants, wine shops, service professionals, and projects related to oenological culture.

Key honors included the Premio Carta Vini Italia, the Best Italian Wine Selection for international wine lists that highlight Italian wines, and the Premio Wine Retail Italia for distribution and wine shops. New categories were introduced, such as 'Carta Visionaria' and 'Carta delle Acque'.

Amidst changing consumption habits and declining sales, high-end dining continues to invest heavily in wine selection and service. Federico Gordini, president of Milano Wine Week, suggested including wine selections under 25 euros in menus to make wine more accessible to younger consumers and those seeking more affordable options.
