Milan's Iconic Sites Shut Down for Filming of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’

During the production of the sequel ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’, major Milan landmarks—including the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Accademia di Brera and large sections of the Quadrilatero della Moda—were temporarily closed to accommodate filming. Italian line producer Enrico Ballarin oversaw the shoot, which also used a villa outside the city and locations on Lake Como. The movie follows Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestly as she journeys to Milan for Fashion Week, bringing Hollywood attention to the city’s fashion districts.

Local officials welcomed the production, noting the positive exposure for Milan’s fashion scene and the cooperation of residents who helped the crew stage the iconic locations.
