Milan's Langosteria adds rooftop terrace; Rome's Saloon del Panino stays open late
Langosteria’s Ally’s Bar in Milan has opened a sixth‑floor rooftop terrace on via Montenapoleone, extending its venue to lunchtime. The new “Sandwich & Spaghetti” menu reinterprets classic Italian dishes – from tuna tramezzini to veal cutlet sandwiches and various pasta preparations – and is paired with classic and signature cocktails crafted by bar manager Stefano Agostino.
In Rome’s Portuense district, the Saloon del Panino, a historic paninoteca operating since 2004, remains a popular late‑night spot. Open from noon to 2 p.m. on weekdays and until 3 a.m. on weekends, it serves extra‑large, affordable panini with a wide range of fillings, alongside sides such as fries and desserts. The venue’s simple, counter‑service layout and long queues underscore its status as a staple for workers, families, and night‑goers alike.
