Italy prepares major fashion, beauty and cultural events for 2026
Milan will host several high‑profile fashion and beauty gatherings in September 2026. Milan Beauty Week runs 16‑20 September, highlighting the theme of "essentiality" and featuring the Esxence Boutique perfumery showcase on 19‑20 September, where brands present artistic fragrances directly to consumers. Milan Fashion Week follows from 22‑28 September, presenting 54 runway shows and six digital presentations, debuting designers Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo for Moschino, and noting the absence of Versace.
The city also welcomes the MICAM footwear exhibition from 13‑15 September, which will reveal trend forecasts for the Spring/Summer 2027 season, emphasizing a shift toward expressive, maximalist shoe designs. In Livorno, the Effetto Venezia festival runs 29 July‑2 August, offering over 100 free events—including concerts by The Kolors and discussions on youth‑generation topics such as mental health and AI—aimed at bridging generational gaps.
Additionally, the Dalí e la Moda exhibition opens at Palazzo Reale in Milan on 24 September 2026 and remains until 31 January 2027, displaying more than 200 works that explore Salvador Dalí’s relationship with fashion, featuring pieces from the Dalí Museum and Reina Sofía.
