Milas Municipality provides free agricultural support to 139 producers

Milas Municipality has launched a rural development initiative to support local agriculture and livestock producers by reducing their input costs. As part of this program, the municipality distributed free straw bales, oat seeds, and animal feed to 139 producers across the Yaka, Koru, Ağaçlıhöyük, and Akyol neighborhoods.

The distribution ceremony, held in front of the Milas Milk Union facilities in the Koru neighborhood, included the delivery of 1,300 straw bales, 6,000 kg of oat seeds, and 278 sacks of feed. Local officials, including the President of the Milas Neighborhood Mukhtars Association, İlhan Şimşek, and Koru Mukhtar Kemal Karabulut, expressed gratitude to Mayor Fevzi Topuz for the support.

Mayor Fevzi Topuz noted that since taking office in March 2024, the municipality has been working to bring municipal agricultural lands into active production. The products harvested from these lands are then redistributed to local producers. Ali İhsan Gezgin, President of the Milas Milk Union, emphasized that the project would provide significant relief to those engaged in livestock farming in the region.
