Milen Vrabeski claims hybrid war targets Bulgarian identity in Balkans
Dr. Milen Vrabeski, founder and chairman of the Bulgarian Memory Foundation, has alleged that a hybrid war is being waged in the Balkans to erase Bulgarian identity and reframe historical national unification struggles as mere propaganda.
In an interview, Vrabeski criticized the treatment of Bulgarians in North Macedonia, claiming that individuals working on foundation projects face persecution. He characterized the former Yugoslav political structures as having established an anti-Bulgarian foundation that persists in modern governance standards.
Vrabeski also discussed his foundation's philanthropic work, including significant investments in Albania, and emphasized his four national priorities: addressing the demographic crisis, reintegrating the diaspora via a European model, preserving cultural and historical heritage, and fostering patriotic education in youth.
