Isab refinery visit criticized by PD lawmakers

Democratic Party (PD) Senator Antonio Nicita and Regional Deputy Tiziano Spada have criticized a recent visit by Minister Urso to the Isab refinery. The lawmakers described the event as a partisan media showcase, noting that opposition members were not invited to participate in the discussions.

The PD representatives are seeking clarity regarding the contract between Trafigura and Isab, as well as the government's role in previous agreements involving Goi Energy. They also called for specific details on how national and European public resources will be utilized to support the ecological transition, protect public health, and ensure future employment prospects at the facility.
