Milena Vukotic to star in theatrical documentary at Teatro Talia

The Teatro Talia in Gualdo Tadino will host the screening of the theatrical documentary ‘Dove vai Francesco?’ on October 22, 2026. Starring actress Milena Vukotic and directed by Maria Teresa Elena, the work is part of the ‘Francesco il cammino di Gualdo’ project.

Created to commemorate the eighth centenary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, the documentary utilizes video footage from a 2016 stage production. Rather than a traditional biography, the narrative focuses on the perspective of Pica, the saint's mother, exploring her emotional response to her son's radical life choices and the universal themes of parental expectations and personal fulfillment.

The event is supported by the Municipality of Gualdo Tadino and the Umbria Region. Attendees will include director Maria Teresa Elena, text curator Anna Maria Mazziotti di Celso, and Monsignor Felice Accrocca, Bishop of Assisi, Nocera Umbra, Gualdo Tadino, and Foligno. Admission to the screening is free.
