Milence opens heavy-duty electric truck charging hub in Temse
Milence has inaugurated a new charging hub for electric trucks in Temse, Belgium, marking the 39th location in its European network. Situated between Antwerp and Ghent, the site is located within a critical logistics region and serves as a key point on the TEN-T corridor connecting the North Sea to the Mediterranean.
The facility features eight charging points in total. Four of these are equipped with both Megawatt Charging System (MCS) and Combined Charging System (CCS) connectors, capable of delivering up to 1,500 kW. The remaining four charging points utilize CCS technology with a maximum output of 400 kW.
This deployment represents a significant scale-up for Milence’s megawatt charging capabilities. While previous sites in Antwerp, Zwolle, and Landvetter featured single MCS chargers, the Temse hub provides four MCS chargers using systems from Spanish provider Power Electronics. The site is also part of the MACBETH project, addressing technical and economic challenges related to large-scale electric heavy-duty transport.
