Miles Cross road closure extended until October 2026

The Foundry Lea Consortium has announced an extension of the full closure at the B3162/West Road junction at Miles Cross. Originally scheduled to end sooner, the closure is now extended until Wednesday, 7 October 2026, with the road expected to reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday, 8 October.

During this period, the A35 will remain open, but there will be no access onto or off West Road from the A35. Drivers must be diverted through Bridport town centre to reach West Road. Additionally, overnight closures of the A35 are scheduled for the nights of 6 October and 7 October, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, to facilitate the removal of traffic management arrangements.
