Miles Davis art exhibition to be held in Shinjuku

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of legendary jazz musician Miles Davis, the exhibition ‘Miles Davis Art - Playing Colors’ will be held at Brooklyn Parlor Shinjuku from September 6 to September 23, 2026. The event will showcase various artworks created by Davis, highlighting his talent in abstract expression and visual arts, including his work on the 1983 album ‘Star People’.

The opening on September 6 will feature a special DJ event with music critic Mitsutaka Yanagira. Additionally, the centennial celebration includes a visit to Japan by the Miles Electric Band, an all-star project featuring musicians such as Vince Wilburn Jr. The band is scheduled to perform at Blue Note Tokyo on September 21, 22, and 23, 2026.
