Milestone announces update for Screamer racing game

Milestone has announced a new update for its arcade racing game, Screamer, which features a dystopian anime-inspired setting. Following its global launch in March, this patch introduces quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes based on player feedback.

Key changes include increased player freedom; the game now launches to a main menu instead of automatically starting the ‘Tournament’ story mode, allowing players to explore systems or practice first. Additionally, tutorials are now accessible via the pause menu in any mode. The update also addresses character balancing to ensure fairer racing and more diverse gameplay options.

To maintain competitive integrity, the development team is actively addressing leaderboard cheating. Following internal investigations, illegitimate times achieved through cheats have been removed, and warnings have been issued to offenders.
