Legia Warszawa official addresses Mileta Rajovic transfer failure

Piotr Zasada, the head of recruitment for Legia Warszawa, has addressed the unsuccessful tenure of striker Mileta Rajovic. The Danish forward joined the club in July 2025 from Watford for a record fee of three million euros, but failed to meet expectations, scoring only 10 goals in 50 appearances.

Zasada described the situation as "irreparable," noting that the high cost of the transfer made the player a symbol of failed management. He indicated that the decision-making process surrounding the signing involved specific circumstances known only to a few within the club.

Rajovic has since been loaned to FC Midtjylland in Denmark. While the loan agreement includes an option for the Danish club to purchase the player, his recent lack of productivity in the Superliga suggests a permanent move is unlikely. The club is expected to adopt a more cautious approach to high-risk transfers following this experience.
