Following high demand for her upcoming October shows at the Hollywood Bowl, where approximately 1.5 million people reportedly queued, Cyrus indicated that a residency could satisfy fan demand while allowing her to avoid the isolation and logistical demands of traveling.

Reflecting on her past experiences, Cyrus also opened up about a 2022 anxiety attack during a performance in Mexico. She described the incident as a ‘cocktail of chaos’ resulting from the cumulative stress of the global pandemic, a terrifying in-flight emergency, and the grief following the death of her close friend, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. The singer noted that the transition from the isolation of the pandemic to performing before massive crowds contributed to the sensory and emotional overload.
