Miley Cyrus donates $1 million to Los Angeles housing project
Miley Cyrus has donated $1 million through the Miley Cyrus Foundation to support Rosa’s Place, a new housing project by the Downtown Women’s Center in Los Angeles. The initiative aims to provide 97 permanent apartments for women experiencing homelessness, including survivors of physical violence.
Located in the Skid Row neighborhood, the facility will include social spaces, an educational center, an inner courtyard, and dedicated spaces for mothers. Residents will also have access to healthcare, social counseling, and job placement programs to facilitate independence. The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
Cyrus’s mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, will collaborate on the interior design to ensure a safe and welcoming environment. This donation follows Cyrus’s long-standing commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, including her role as honorary chair for the nonprofit My Friend’s Place.
