Miley Cyrus donates $1 million to Los Angeles women's housing project
Singer Miley Cyrus has announced a $1 million donation through the Miley Cyrus Foundation to support a housing project for vulnerable women and victims of violence in Los Angeles. The contribution was highlighted during the Every Woman Housed Gala in October 2026.
The initiative supports 'Rosa's Place,' which features 97 permanent apartments designed to provide a safe environment for women and survivors of violence. The facility is intended to offer long-term infrastructure and support services, including community rooms, professional training centers, and wellness areas for mothers.
Cyrus's mother, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, is also involved in the project, specifically collaborating on the design of the internal spaces. This donation continues a philanthropic mission Cyrus has maintained for over 12 years, which includes her role as honorary president of 'My Friend's,' an organization assisting homeless youth in the Hollywood area.
