Miley Cyrus returns to Billboard 200 number one with ‘Bass Persuades’
Miley Cyrus has returned to the top of the Billboard 200 with her tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’. The project debuted at number one in the United States, earning 61,000 equivalent album units during its first week. This achievement marks her first chart-topping album in over a decade, following the success of ‘Bangerz’ in 2013.
The album’s performance included 47,000 pure album sales and 14.2 million on-demand streams. It narrowly outperformed Ella Langley’s ‘Dandelion’, which secured the number two spot with nearly 61,000 units, and Riley Green’s ‘That’s Just Me’, which debuted at number three with 60,000 units.
This release, her first under the mononymous branding ‘Miley’ and released via Atlantic Records, represents a stylistic evolution for the artist. Cyrus is one of three artists in 2026 to achieve a number-one album after a hiatus of at least ten years, joining A$AP Rocky and Bruno Mars. To support the release, she is scheduled to perform two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18, featuring guest appearance by the band Model/Actriz.
