Miley Cyrus rebrands and announces tenth studio album

Miley Cyrus has announced a major rebranding, dropping her surname to perform and identify professionally as ‘Miley’. This shift coincides with the announcement of her tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, scheduled for release on September 18 via Atlantic Records. The singer released the title track as a single alongside a music video directed by Mert Alas.

To support the new era, Cyrus will perform two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18. The album is described as an exploration of life's emotional spectrum, including joy and heartache. The announcement follows a period of personal reflection after the passing of her godmother, Dolly Parton.

Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, has publicly endorsed the name change, stating it is a ‘natural progression for an iconic superstar legend’. He clarified that the decision is not due to family tension, but rather an expression of her individuality.
