Miley releases tenth studio album ‘Bass Persuades’
Miley Cyrus, performing now simply as Miley, has released her tenth studio album, ‘Bass Persuades’, via Atlantic Records. The project marks a musical pivot toward dance-pop, synth, and disco-inspired sounds, moving away from the genre-blending approach of her previous album, ‘Something Beautiful’.
The album features collaborations with artists such as Model/Actriz on ‘Different Religion’ and Andrew Wyatt on ‘Neon Signs’. Much of the record was produced in collaboration with her fiancé, Maxx Morando, who contributed to nearly all tracks, including the romantic ballads ‘Let’s Get Married’ and ‘Orbit’.
Lyrically, the album explores personal themes, including Cyrus’ relationship with her sister, Noah Cyrus, on the track ‘Innocent Ways’. Critics have offered mixed reviews, describing the work as both an intriguing reinvention and a somewhat muddled collection that shifts between high-energy club tracks and introspective ballads.
To support the release, Miley is scheduled to perform the new material live at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18.
