Milica Jeličić claims political retaliation after job loss in Sečanj

Milica Jeličić, a candidate for the citizens' group ‘Glas mladih koji menja Sečanj’ in the recent local elections, has lost her job at the ‘Poletarac’ preschool institution in Sečanj. Jeličić claims her employment contract was not renewed on August 31 as a form of ‘political retaliation’ by local authorities.

Jeličić alleges that she faced months of pressure and threats of dismissal starting in April. She specifically identifies SNS coordinator Saša Santovac as the primary instigator and former municipal president Nebojša Meljanac as a key figure who pressured the institution's director to terminate her employment. Jeličić maintains that the decision was not based on her professional performance but was a response to her public criticism of the local administration and her political involvement.
