Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski awarded Order of the Holy New Martyrs of Kragujevac

Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski, the Serbian Minister for Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs in a technical mandate, has been awarded the first-degree Order of the Holy New Martyrs of Kragujevac. The decoration was presented by Metropolitan Jovan of the Šumadija Eparchy during a ceremony at the Ćelije Monastery near Lazarevac.

The award recognizes her dedication and relationship with the Šumadija Eparchy. During the ceremony, Đurđević Stamenkovski expressed that receiving the honor at the Ćelije Monastery, which houses a memorial ossuary for Serbian heroes from the First World War, added a profound sense of responsibility. She emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of Serbian fighters and the historical significance of the Šumadija region as a cradle of freedom and statehood.
