Military aviation anniversaries observed in Uruguay and Argentina

Military aviation anniversaries were observed in Uruguay and Argentina. In Uruguay, the Santa Bernardina Air Base commemorated the 108th anniversary of the death of Captain Juan Manuel Boiso Lanza, the first martyr of Uruguayan military aviation. The ceremony included a delegation that traveled to Montevideo to participate in a central act attended by President Yamandú Orsi.

In Argentina, the Argentine Air Force celebrated its 114th anniversary at the Morón Air Base. The event featured the first public presentation of the recently acquired Lockheed F-16 fighter jets, with a squadron of three aircraft performing a flyover. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense, and included honors for veterans and crews involved in Antarctic rescue operations.
