Military exercises involving live ammunition scheduled in Gia Lai and Ha Tinh

The National Military Training Center 2 has announced live ammunition exercises in Binh An commune, Gia Lai province. The drills, intended for command and agency exercises for the 10th Division of Corps 34, are scheduled to take place between 6:30 AM and 11:00 AM on October 31, November 2, and November 3, 2026. The firing direction is toward the north, with bullet ranges spanning from 600 meters to 6,000 meters. Local authorities have advised residents to avoid the training area during these times to ensure safety.

In Ha Tinh province, the Defense Area Exercise Steering Committee has organized live ammunition drills as part of a defense area exercise. The specific exercise involves an infantry battalion reinforced with technical weaponry conducting an assault against sea-borne enemy landings in Yen Hoa commune. Lieutenant General Nguyen Ba Luc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, has been overseeing the defense combat determination and leadership resolutions for these regional defense exercises.
