Military exercises scheduled in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia
The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSBiH) will conduct the “Current Response 26” military exercise at the Manjača training ground from October 19 to 23. The exercise involves 881 personnel from declared units, with an additional 330 members from OSBiH and NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command Naples serving in the directorate and evaluation structure. The drill aims to test operational readiness and interoperability with NATO standards using equipment such as M113 A1 armored personnel carriers, medical vehicles, and helicopters. The training includes computer simulations via the JCATS system followed by field exercises involving opposing forces.
In Croatia, the Armed Forces will hold military exercises at the Josip Markić training ground in Knin during November 2026. The activities include live fire drills and the use of explosive devices, which may result in increased noise and military vehicle traffic. Specific dates for restricted access to the training ground include November 3, 5, 6, 13, 24, and 25, among others throughout the month.
