Military honors in Cuba and defense of troops in Ceuta

In Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro issued a message honoring the Prevention Troops on their 45th anniversary. In a letter, Castro praised the combatants and civilian workers for their discipline and professionalism, noting their role in maintaining peace and stability in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior. To mark the occasion, Castro approved the granting of a replica of the yacht Granma to the unit.

In Spain, the Defense General Staff (EMAD) issued an unusual public statement defending the professionalism of military personnel stationed in Ceuta. The organization responded to what it termed ‘unfounded accusations’ regarding the troops' conduct, asserting that their commitment to the city is ‘irrefutable.’ This follows recent tensions in the region and a defense of military actions by Defense Minister Margarita Robles.
