Military leaders conduct security visits in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina
Military leaders in the Balkans are conducting high-level visits to strengthen regional security and cooperation. In Montenegro, Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanović, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Montenegro, visited personnel participating in the ‘Common Challenge 26’ international military exercise in Kolašin. During the visit, Vuksanović met with exercise command to review the scenario and organization, and inspected field facilities, including medical support and command tents.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, EUFOR Chief of Staff Brigadier General Traian T. Maghercă visited the 5th Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Dubrave Barracks near Tuzla. Maghercă met with Brigadier General Fahir Žilić to discuss operational coordination and ways to strengthen the relationship between EUFOR and the national armed forces. The visit also included engagement with the Liaison and Observation Team in Tuzla to maintain contact with local communities and monitor the local environment.
