Military police save infants from choking in São Paulo
Military police officers in São Paulo have performed emergency life-saving maneuvers on infants in two separate incidents.
In Guarujá, officers from the 21st Battalion responded to a one-month-old baby who choked while drinking water. After the mother sought help at a community base, an officer performed choking relief procedures. The infant was subsequently transported to a medical unit for evaluation by a pediatrician.
In a separate incident in the Tucuruvi neighborhood of São Paulo, officers from the 5th Battalion assisted a two-month-old baby choking on milk. After the family sought help at a police unit, officers performed airway clearance protocols. The child was transported via police vehicles to the Jaçanã Urgent Care Unit (UPA), where the clinical condition was stabilized under medical observation.
