Military Police sergeant arrested for assaulting daughter in São Gonçalo

A Military Police sergeant was arrested in flagrante after allegedly assaulting her teenage daughter and cutting the girl's hair with a knife during a family dispute in Alcântara, São Gonçalo.

The incident occurred following an argument regarding household chores. Upon arrival, officers from the 7th BPM found the teenager with scratches on her face and bruises on her body. The victim was taken to a medical unit and subsequently to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for forensic examination.

In her testimony, the sergeant claimed the teenager was “rebellious” and had advanced against her during the argument. Despite her claims, the Central de Flagrantes ordered her arrest, charging her with bodily injury within the context of domestic violence. Her service weapon has been seized, and she remains in custody.
