Dominican Republic: President Abinader reshuffles military and police leadership

President Luis Abinader has implemented a significant restructuring of the Dominican Republic's security and administrative leadership through several decrees.

In the military and police sectors, major appointments include Jimmy Arias Grullón as Commander General of the Army, Enmanuel Marcelino Souffront Tamayo as Commander General of the Air Force, and Ernesto Rafael Rodríguez García as Director General of the National Police. Other key security roles filled include Jorge Iván Camino Pérez as Inspector General of the Armed Forces, Delio Buenaventura Colón Rosario as Vice Minister of Defense for Military Affairs, and Guillermo Caro Cruz as head of the Presidential Security Corps (CUSEP).
