Military University of Technology signs Apache offset deals with Boeing and GE Aerospace

The Military University of Technology (WAT) in Warsaw has signed executive agreements with Boeing and GE Aerospace to fulfill offset obligations related to Poland’s acquisition of 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The agreements focus on knowledge transfer, equipment delivery, and specialized training.

As part of this initiative, WAT will establish an Apache Helicopter Training Center and an Advanced Composite Structures Laboratory. The program aims to develop domestic expertise in technical support for the AH-64E Apache and its T700 engines. This capability will also benefit other aircraft in the Polish military fleet, such as the Black Hawk, AW-149, and AW-101.

Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that these agreements complement previous contracts signed in Dęblin. To facilitate training, WAT is expected to receive a T700 engine and a training helicopter from American partners next year, allowing students to gain hands-on maintenance skills locally rather than traveling to the United States.
