Miljenko Filipović hospitalized after drunk driving accident

Retired general Miljenko Filipović is receiving medical treatment at Sveti Duh Clinical Hospital following a traffic accident caused by driving under the influence. Police report that Filipović was driving with 1.42 per mille of alcohol in his system when he caused a collision that left a 56-year-old female driver seriously injured.

Following the incident, Filipović complained of injuries and was transported to the hospital. Police confirmed that once the criminal investigation is complete and he is discharged from medical care, he will be handed over to custodial supervision. A criminal complaint is being filed against him under Article 227 of the Criminal Code for causing a traffic accident.
