Millah Murrah Angus bull sets breed record with $420,000 sale

A new Angus breed record was established at the annual Millah Murrah sale on September 3, 2026. The bull Millah Murrah Wyatt W50, catalogued at lot 4, sold for $420,000, setting a new benchmark for all-breeds bulls or females.

Purchased by Gundungarra Pastoral of the New South Wales Southern Tablelands in Robertson, the 834-kilogram, 19-month-old bull surpassed previous records held by Elite Wagyu heifer Sunnyside S0014 ($400,000) and Angus bull Texas Thunderstruck ($360,000).

Wyatt W50 is a son of Millah Murrah Ulsterman U145. The bull features high estimated breeding values, including top 5 per cent fat scores for rib and top 8 per cent for rump, alongside significant growth and structural advantages.
