Millennium bim launches data-free banking feature in Mozambique

Millennium bim has launched ‘Smart IZI Mahala’, a new feature designed to eliminate mobile data costs for users of its Smart IZI application in Mozambique. This initiative aims to promote financial inclusion by removing connectivity costs, which remain a significant barrier to digital banking services in the country.

According to Rui Pedro, President of the Executive Committee of Millennium bim, the goal is to provide greater convenience, autonomy, and security for digital financial services. The Smart IZI platform allows customers to manage accounts, perform transfers, and access financial services without visiting a physical branch. Additionally, the update enables new customers to open accounts through a simplified, fully digital process.
