Millicent Amankwah Yeboah serves as MP for Sunyani West

Millicent Amankwah Yeboah, the 34-year-old Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, has gained public attention following the parliamentary vetting of her husband, Mahama Ayariga, the Minister-designate for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs.

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Amankwah Yeboah secured her seat in the December 2024 general election by defeating the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah. She received 26,828 votes, representing 57.64% of the total valid votes cast.

Before entering politics, she held roles in business management, including serving as a branch manager for Verna Mineral Water and Managing Director of MEA Connect Consultants. Her academic background includes studies at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Law in the United Kingdom. In Parliament, she serves on the Employment, Labour Relations and Pensions Committee.
