Alberto Gamero returns as Millonarios head coach

Millonarios has officially announced the return of Alberto Gamero as head coach for a second term. The 62-year-old strategist replaces Argentine manager Fabián Bustos, who recently departed the club.

Gamero’s previous tenure between 2019 and 2024 was marked by significant success, including winning the 2022 Copa Colombia, the 2023-I Liga BetPlay, and the 2024 Superliga. His return aims to restore competitive identity and improve the team's performance in South American CONMEBOL tournaments.

A key condition of the new agreement involves the composition of the coaching staff. Club leadership, including president Enrique Camacho and shareholder Gustavo Serpa, stipulated that the new technical team must be mutually agreed upon by both the coach and the directors to align with the club's new strategic vision.
