Millonarios FC confirms Mayer Candelo as assistant coach
Millonarios FC has officially announced the restructuring of its technical staff for Alberto Gamero’s second cycle as head coach. Former player Mayer Candelo returns to the club to serve as an assistant coach.
Candelo, who played for Millonarios between 2003 and 2008 and won both the 2011 Cup and the 2012-II League title, brings coaching experience from his previous roles managing Cortuluá and Deportivo Cali.
The technical team also includes Jorge Castro as an assistant coach, a specialist in tactical planning and performance analysis who previously coached Tigres FC and worked with Gamero. Julio Chalares will lead the physical preparation of the squad.
