Milltek Widebody Kit for Renault 5 E-Tech and Alpine A290 Unveiled at Goodwood
At the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, British preparer Milltek Design revealed a widebody kit that transforms both the Renault 5 E-Tech and the Alpine A290. The kit draws on the historic Renault 5 Maxi Group B rally car, adding wider front and rear fenders, integrated arch sections, a high rear spoiler, and optional aluminium side skirts. It is built from ABS panels with a reversible attachment method so owners can revert to the original bodywork.
Production is scheduled to start in autumn 2026 as a strictly limited series. The complete kit is priced at £2,000 (about $2,700/€2,500), with additional options such as day‑time running lights for the Alpine model sold separately. Customers can reserve units directly at the Goodwood stand, and the kit will be available for both models that share the same underlying technical platform.
The launch highlights Milltek’s aim to offer a heritage‑inspired visual upgrade for modern electric hatchbacks while preserving the ability to restore the cars to their factory condition.
