Milly Alcock cast as Supergirl in upcoming DC film

Australian actress Milly Alcock, known for her role as young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen in HBO's *House of the Dragon*, will lead the next DC Universe movie as Kara Zor‑El/Supergirl. After a decade of work on Australian TV series such as *Wonderland*, *Upright* and *The Gloaming*, Alcock gained international attention with the prequel series and is now headlining the superhero franchise.

In a recent interview she discussed the challenges of portraying a traumatised Supergirl, working with CGI and a stunt double, and how her experience on *House of the Dragon* prepared her for the high‑profile role. The film is slated for release in 2026.
