Milly Alcock Sparks Fan Backlash and Reveals Limited Supergirl Suit Use

Actress Milly Alcock, cast as Kara Zor‑El/Supergirl in the DC Universe, sparked renewed controversy in a recent Variety interview. She mocked critics she described as “dad of four, Christian” and said, “if you’re pissing the right kind of people off, you’re doing OK,” drawing further criticism from fans and commentators.

In the same interview Alcock addressed questions about the upcoming Supergirl film, saying she does not know when she will wear the iconic suit and that she “doesn’t wear it as much as people will think.” The film, slated for release on June 26, 2026, will also feature Jason Momoa and a supporting cast that includes Eve Ridley and Matthias Schoenaerts. Alcock is also set to appear in the DCU sequel Man of Tomorrow, scheduled for July 9, 2027.

The actress first appeared as Supergirl’s younger sister in the closing moments of the recent Superman movie, establishing the character’s presence in the franchise. Production for the upcoming movies is taking place in Atlanta, USA.
