Milly Alcock Tackles Christian Dad Criticism Amid Weak Supergirl Box‑Office Outlook

Australian actress Milly Alcock, the lead of the upcoming "Supergirl" film, said she has been targeted by online trolls, especially comments from self‑identified Christian fathers. She explained that many of the hostile messages come from anonymous burner accounts and noted that women in the industry often face ownership claims over their bodies.

Box‑office analysts project the film’s opening weekend in the United States at $47‑$65 million and a total domestic run of $107‑$181 million. With a reported production budget of about $170 million and marketing costs estimated above $75 million, the movie would need roughly $425 million worldwide to break even, prompting concerns about its commercial prospects.
