Milnerskolan students and teachers oppose grade restructuring
Students in grade 8 at Milnerskolan in Sweden are protesting a proposal to change the school's grade structure from grades 4–9 to grades 4–6.
Eighth-grade students argue that the change would force them to split up, change classes, and move to a new school just before national exams. They express concerns that the transition would destroy the strong community and bond currently shared between students and teachers.
Teachers at the school have also voiced support for maintaining the current structure, noting the positive working environment provided by the middle school years. Additionally, there are concerns regarding overcrowding if the school is repurposed to accommodate more younger students.
