Miloš Bubán reflects on involuntary exit from Slovak Television

Miloš Bubán, a physician and former prominent television announcer, has reflected on his involuntary departure from Slovak Television (STV) after a 21-year career. Bubán, who began his broadcasting journey on November 26, 1982, described his exit as unprofessional, stating that the director abolished the announcer position and ceased booking him without providing a specific reason.

Bubán noted that his television presence significantly impacted his life, making him a recognizable figure across Czechoslovakia during an era when public television was the primary source of media. Following his departure from STV, he transitioned to commercial broadcasting, working for Markíza on the talk show ‘Doma s Markízou’ and later hosting the health program ‘Zdravie’ on TA3 for seven years.
