Milo Infante denounces legal charges regarding Garlasco case

Television presenter Milo Infante has denounced a charge of receiving stolen goods (ricettazione) filed against him by Stefania Cappa, the cousin of Chiara Poggi, the victim in the Garlasco murder case. Infante characterized the accusation as an ‘infamous act’ and a form of ‘intimidation.’

Cappa filed the complaint alleging that Infante violated investigative secrecy by broadcasting confidential documents on television. Her lawyer, Valeria Francesca Mettica, clarified that the documents shown were part of a formal complaint filed four months ago, rather than a mere report, and argued that the information discussed was unrelated to the murder investigation.

In response to the legal proceedings, Infante announced he has declined legal protection from Mediaset, stating the accusation is too grave to merit the company’s support. Additionally, criminologist Roberta Bruzzone has announced intentions to take legal action against Infante, citing concerns over his professional conduct.
