Milo Infante leaves Rai for Mediaset, takes senior news role

On 10‑11 June 2026 journalist and presenter Milo Infante submitted his resignation from Rai after the broadcaster rejected his request to become a director, a move he said was driven by a failed economic agreement. Rai’s Director‑General Giampaolo Rossi told reporters that editorial directors are now evaluating a successor for Infante’s programs, including “Ore 14”.

Mediaset announced that Infante will join the group in a “strategic double role”, combining a prime‑time presenting slot with a senior position in the Videonews division, where he will help shape the network’s news strategy. In his statement Infante thanked Pier Silvio Berlusconi, describing Mediaset as “a point of arrival” for his career and expressing enthusiasm for the new challenge.
