Milo Infante sued by Stefania Cappa over legal document broadcast

Journalist Milo Infante has been sued for receiving stolen goods (ricettazione) by Stefania Cappa, a lawyer and cousin of Chiara Poggi. The legal action stems from a broadcast of ‘Verità Nascoste – Il diario’ on August 25, during which Infante displayed a legal document related to the Poggi case.

Infante has declined legal assistance from his new employer, Mediaset, stating that if he has committed a wrong, he should pay for it personally. He has instead entrusted his defense to his wife, criminal lawyer Sara Venturi. Despite receiving assurances of support from Mediaset’s information director, Mauro Crippa, Infante expressed a desire to handle the matter as a personal and family battle.

This legal challenge coincides with Infante’s recent transition from Rai to Mediaset, where he has begun hosting programs such as ‘Ore 11’ on Rete 4. During a recent appearance on ‘Ore 11’, journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi visited as a guest and expressed support for the Cappa sisters, despite the ongoing legal friction between Infante and Stefania Cappa.
