Miloš Latinović releases new novel ‘Kraljeva međa’

Writer and theater professional Miloš Latinović has released a new novel titled ‘Kraljeva međa’ (The King’s Border), published by Kosmos. The work is described as a ‘fugue novel’ that explores the historical decline of the Banat region.

Latinović, the former director of Bitef Theatre, discusses the themes of his book, which centers on the onset of World War I and the subsequent 1923 division of Banat between Serbia and Romania. In reflections on his return to his roots in Kikinda, Latinović describes the current state of the Banat region as a place of loss, noting the decay of once-prosperous villages and the departure of its inhabitants.
