Milo Yiannopoulos deported from the U.S. following ICE detention

British commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States to the United Kingdom following his arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a Louisiana airport. The Department of Homeland Security stated that Yiannopoulos, who entered the U.S. legally in 2019, overstayed his visa and failed to appear for an immigration hearing on July 22.

In interviews with Piers Morgan, Yiannopoulos described his detention as “humiliating,” “disorienting,” and “physically degrading,” claiming he was shackled at the hands and feet. He expressed profound fear during the process, stating, “I didn’t really understand the physical reality of how institutionalized the brutality is in America.” Following the experience, he expressed regret for his previous political stances, stating he is “ashamed” of his past support for Donald Trump.

Reports regarding his professional relationship with rapper Kanye West (Ye) are conflicting. While some sources suggest West has cut ties with Yiannopoulos due to a loss of trust and alleged misinformation regarding his immigration status, other reports indicate Yiannopoulos continues to manage West’s legal affairs remotely.
