Milo Yiannopoulos deported to the UK after US visa overstay

British-born political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States to the United Kingdom. According to the Department of Homeland Security, Yiannopoulos was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on August 27. He was deported the following day.

Authorities stated that Yiannopoulos, a former prominent supporter of Donald Trump who had previously advocated for mass deportations, had entered the U.S. legally in 2019 but overstayed his visa. An immigration judge had reportedly issued a final deportation order in July after he failed to appear for a scheduled hearing.

In a recent interview with Piers Morgan, Yiannopoulos expressed that he is ‘ashamed’ of his previous support for Trump and the MAGA movement. He also addressed his personal life, acknowledging that he remains gay and is still married to his husband, despite years of publicly identifying as ‘ex-gay’ and promoting conversion therapy.
