Miloje Milenković reflects on changing social cohesion in Strumac

Miloje Milenković, a retiree from Brnjaka, continues to work in the forest near Strumac alongside his children, selling wood to support his family. A former employee of the Zubin Potok municipality, Milenković reflects on the transition from the era of Yugoslavia to the present day.

While noting that modern life offers better material conditions, such as easier transport for livestock and more household vehicles, Milenković expresses a sense of loss regarding social cohesion. He observes that the sense of community and frequent social gatherings that once defined the region have largely disappeared, replaced by increased individualism and social distance.
